| The super
all-star session again! Smooth jazz / fusion music now enriched
with the taste of blues and R&B! |
| The great follow-up to
the "Over Crystal Green" - one of the most acclaimed
jazz / fusion album of 2002 - recorded with new personnel.
The groove of jazz / fusion music is now enriched with the
taste of blues and R&B. Will Boulware gives a full play
to his keyboard handling on both acoustic and electric instruments,
but his talent as an arranger is greatly featured in this album.
Each music has its high lights; "Israel" featuring
tenor saxophone, "One Finger Snap" featuring guitar, "New
and Old" featuring drums solo (by brush!), "Foolish
Door" with quartet (piano / synthesizers / bass / drums)
and three vocal tracks. As the title speaks, "harmony" is
the key to enjoy this album. Harmony of each chord, instruments,
sequence, and of course the performers. |

Will
Boulware
Born July 6, 1952, in Bardstown,Kentucky.
Born in the musical family that his mother sings along when
father was playing a
guitar. He started learning piano since his family has moved
to Atlanta, Georgia, when he was 6 years old. He started playing
at night clubs from Florida to Indiana as a member of the R&B
group when he was 14. At the age of 17, he organized his organ
trio playing his own music and started performing around in the
Southeast. He was recognized by those activities, and when he
became 19, he began to write music to artists such as B.B King
and Paul Davis, and joined their recording sessions. He moved
to New York when he became 21. After that, he joined many recordings
and tours, expressing his talent as not only a performer but
also a composer. Since 90's, he has been an indispensable member
of The Maceo Parker Band. He has also toured with The Blues Brothers
Band World Tour in '98, The John Scofield quartet in '99, Carla
Bley Europe Tour in '00. He has recorded and performed with George
Coleman, David Liebman, Michael Brecker, Rodney Jones, just to
name a few. |
