Truly romantic. Truly exciting. One of the best piano trio albums never to be missed.
Originally from the musical SOUND OF MUSIC, "My Favorite Things" is one of the most popular tune among various generations. Here is a definitive piano trio version by Don Friedman Trio.
With George Mraz (bass) and Leiws Nash (drums), which is the same personnel teamed for "Waltz for Debby" (VRCL 6010), Friedman spreads his wings of imagination freely. His lyrical but aggressive play intoxicates the listeners. On every tune, the trio delivers the beautiful melody line with a creative interplay.

Friedman shows his creativeness on his original tunes also. "Schmooze Blooze" is a brand new tune written especially for this album. "Summer's End" closes the album, played solo by Friedman.

This album is a true gem, one of the best piano trio albums never to be missed.
